La Méduse is an artisanal blown glass company based in the Magdalen Islands since 1985. In the century-old building where they have their workshop, Catherine and Sophie work with a view of the sea. La Méduse includes a shop and a blown glass workshop. Catherine and Sophie create their glass works there. Observe the glassblowers at work and discover the different techniques used as well as the reality of workshop work. Also, take advantage of your visit to offer yourself a unique souvenir, handmade in the Magdalen Islands. Or a course in blown glass! At the boutique, you will find glass jewelry and unique, decorative or sculptural pieces. An excellent opportunity to bring back a souvenir from the Islands! Welcome to all! “Come and burn your problems” is a well-being workshop, which takes place in the heart of our blown glass workshop in Havre-aux-Maisons, in the Magdalen Islands.
For 60 minutes, join a small group for a wellness session by fire! In the evening, enter our workshop transformed into a place of reflection and an outlet for worries!
From her own experience, Catherine, who had a stroke, and who came out of it magnificently, puts us at ease, to express our own challenges / problems / worries / worries / anxieties. You don't need to have had a stroke to come and share your footsteps... and listen to Catherine's story!
In the light of the ovens and the candles, we burn the problems/worries/troubles in turn in the “Great Flame of Burnt Worries” (our warming oven). We take the time to put our challenges/problems/worries/anxieties on paper. We take it out of us and put it in the flame to reduce it to smoke... Relief!
Renaissance.
Then, we move on to the “Action and gratitude” phase of the session. The evening moves forward in a positive wave by writing our wishes/hopes/wills on the glass pellets that we all mix in the “joyful future pool” (our melting furnace).
It all ends by celebrating happiness with a glass of Escarbille, a delicious local alcohol! Welcome to a new world!
