Magdalen Islands, November 28, 2018 - CindyHook Sports Adventure, in collaboration with IFKO, is proud to announced the Magdalen Islands as the host region of the 1st edition of the IFKO Snowkite World Championship in Canada.
By its location in the middle of the Gulf of St. Lawrence, the Magdalen Islands archipelago is the perfect place to welcome snowkite enthusiasts, a discipline that never stops to gain popularity and will be for the first time at the Tokyo Olympics in 2020. The frost lagoons, the vastness of the playground and the constant winds will be the perfect site for the performance of professional and amateur athletes. The competitions will run from February 17th to 21st, 2019.
Tourisme Îles de la Madeleine is delighted of this major competition during the next winter season, especially since it is positioned just before the harp seal watching. This unique experience in the world, organized by the Hotels Accents, major partner of this edition of the world championship, already brings several international visitors on the Magdalen Islands.
It is therefore a rendez-vous in the archipelago in February 2019!
