Hôtels Accents and Quai 360, as official promoters, will present the first edition of the “Wine and Food of the Islands” event at the Château Madelinot from September 14-17, 2017. Inspired for the most part by visitors and lovers of the Islands, the idea grew out of a desire to immerse visitors more fully in the richness of the Magdalen Islands. For three days, the festival will bring together foodies and wine lovers.
“The Islands are a beautiful destination any time of the year and we wanted to create an event that would allow people to enjoy the archipelago outside the regular season, making for an even more immersive visitor experience,” declared Ariane Bérubé, Hôtels Accents' sales director. Passionate about wine and fine regional cuisine, François Gaulin and Nathalie Miousse, the owners of Quai 360, had also been entertaining this dream! “The expertise of our two teams allowed us to create quite a unique festival and we are looking forward to welcoming the participants of this first edition,” commented Quai 360 owner François Gaulin. The promoters of the event, the Château Madelinot and Quai 360, promise a unique program, focused on the ingredients that make up our region: the ocean, the wind, the flavours and, of course, the Islanders themselves!
Participants will be able to treat themselves to an all--‐inclusive package with lodging at the Château Madelinot or choose a passport package for one of the days.
Consisting of the Auberge Madeli which “Has it all”, the “Seafront” Château Madelinot and the ACCENTS resto bistro, Hôtels Accents is proud to be contributing to the development and reputation of the Magdalen Islands as a destination. The owners of Quai 360, who also own the renowned Café de la Côte, are the official ambassadors for the destination's fine regional cuisine.
