The 6th Edition of Wild Gourmet Spree : Îles de la Madeleine sets the table from shore to shore!

Tourisme Îles de la Madeleine, in collaboration with Bon goût frais des Îles de la Madeleine and Arrimage, is proud to unveil the Official Programme for this year's Wild Gourmet Spree (Folle Virée Gourmande). This Sixth Edition brings together a dozen or so restaurants as well as local producers and artists from every medium with one goal in mind: to offer food lovers one-of-a-kind culinary experiences over three exciting weeks.

Festivities begin next June 16 with "Omega-4", a dining cocktail at Gourmande de nature featuring our local mackerel, and end on July 2 with a 5-course dinner at Resto d'là Butte à La Salicorne under the theme "Shore to shore with

Néciphore". In between, guests are invited to enjoy candlelight readings with author Arlette Cousture, a 12-act oyster extravaganza, colourful yarns, spirited dancers and sparkling meetings of minds: in other words, the Islands are officially open to visitors seeking culinary delights and creative discoveries. Building on the success of previous editions, host restaurants will be taking reservations directly to ensure quick access. It's a safe bet that places will fill up fast... and in the blink of an eye! The full event calendar is available on the Tourisme Îles de la Madeleine website.

About The Wild Gourmet Spree
To the delight of food lovers everywhere, every early summer, local restaurants join with producers and artists in a burst of creativity to celebrate the best our Islands have to offer during one-of-a-kind, themed culinary events. This Gourmet Spree is more than a fortuitous occasion: it follows the earlier initiative "Artisans à table" (Artisans at the table), the brainchild of potter Patrick Leblond who brought together a dozen or so artisans tasked with designing utilitarian objects inspired by, and destined for, terroir products. Over the years, The Wild Gourmet Spree has become the Islands' must-attend gourmet happening.
